Barbara Kleinman's.....
.....works of art are noted for their unique style, elegance, and technique. Barbara has developed an innovative approach that blends realism with abstract expressionism. A long time member of the Mamaroneck Artists Guild, she has a wide repertoire of watercolor specialties, including still life, landscapes, and cityscapes. She is known for her "negative flower" technique in which the white of the flower is fashioned by the creative use of surrounding petal colors. Her watercolor collection also includes, among many subjects, southwest scenes, harbors, and celebrated cities, for which she combines flare with expressionism to evoke a relaxing sensation of enjoyment as if the viewer were actually there. Her mixed media have merged acrylic, watercolor, foils, stained papers and natural materials into creative collages that convey scenes or subjects in unique ways. Her works have been featured in a plethora of art shows, and she has been the recipient of numerous achievement awards.
